HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO WORK FREE OF CHARGE ON VENUE RESEARCH?

Venues recognise that they receive a high percentage of their conference business via third party agencies such as m.d.e.m (most hotels receive approximately 70 – 80% of corporate conference business via agencies). As a recognised agency we are able to claim a commission payment from the venue.

This does not inflate the rates quoted to you via an agency, in fact the opposite is frequently true. We are able to negotiate strongly on your behalf given the combined buying power of our client base and our strong understanding of the market place within which we work daily.

IS YOUR VENUE RESEARCH UNBIASED?

Yes, we are truly un-biased, we are not affiliated either formally or informally with any hotels, chains or groups. We do, however, draw from our experience of organising in excess of 2500 events a year, and from our clients own feedback, when suggesting venues to clients.

DO YOU WORK WITH NON-COMMISSION PAYING VENUES?

Yes, because we are unbiased and because if a venue is right for your event then its right for your event.

DO YOU WORK OUTSIDE OF THE UK?
Yes, we work globally and have always done so. We have some language skills in-house and knowledge of VAT recovery when working overseas.
WHY SHOULD WE USE AN AGENCY?
For a number of reasons, we save your labour and free your time to work on the others aspects of your role whilst we search for your venues or help organise your event; we save you money, both in terms of negotiating rates and negotiating venue’s terms and conditions; and we’ll support you further in the lead up to your event, offering you advise and administrative support.

Essentially we are a business resource or tool, completely focussed on our area of expertise and immediately available to you.
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
Because we have chosen to specialise in this field, but as we recognise that some of our clients enjoy this part of their job too we can be flexible in terms of our involvement. We can book the venue and leave the rest to you, or we can be fully involved and take care of the complete management of your event.
WHY USE A CONFERENCE AGENT NOT A BUSINESS TRAVEL AGENT FOR EVENT BOOKINGS?
The common denominator is hotels, but booking travel with accommodation and booking conferences are two different disciplines. Booking a conference or event is an involved process, it requires a high level of product knowledge, not just in terms of the number of venues known and visited, but also in terms of the information known about each venue and the possible options available.

There are numerous additional reasons why a conference agent should be used to secure event bookings and we would be happy to elaborate further on these with you.
