Frequently Asked Questions about Venue Finding
Do you really not charge for venue finding?
110% this is a free service to corporate clients. Our fees are paid by the venue we confirm for your event on your behalf. This does not inflate the cost to you nor will a venue deduct that percentage from their costs if you book direct. The commission is an inbuilt industry percentage paid to recognised (affiliated) agencies.
If I use a venue finding agent will I get a better rate?
Frequently yes and for a number of reasons.
- Venues will alert agencies to “low” dates or when they’ve had a short lead cancellation as they’d rather have the hotel working than empty and they will reduce rates to fill the space.
- Agents will know where they can negotiate rates and/or build in value add-on’s.
To be honest there are so many reasons including hacks such as using different venues within the same chain for multiple events to negotiate group wide rates rather than hotel/event specific rates.
