Located within literally a 3minute walk, if that, from Paddington Station, the Skylark Roof Garden sits 10floors up, directly above office space and above Hucksters Restaurant.
The walk is mainly through a pedestrian business area, which is quite quiet and peaceful in its own right.
Ahead of an event the venue will place a reception style pod greeting area outside the venue at street level to meet and greet guests. A red carpet on arrival is an option!
The entrance to Skylark is via an office style reception area with five lifts ready to take you to your corporate summer party space.
The Roof Terrace is south facing with views over Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and Little Venice. Maximum capacity for a corporate summer, reception style event is x 175/180 guests.
The roof garden wasn’t dressed for summer parties when I visited but the venue has parasols, circular loungers, poseur tables, flower planters, etc that they will provide to set the scene. The bar is in-built.
Opposite the bar are two basketball shoot out mini courts, but these are reserved for the office staff.
Catering-wise the venue can offer anything from a 100% vegan menu through to canapes, bowl food, street food or a 4course South Asian menu. In addition to your standard bar offerings (the venue does offer drinks packages for events) you could also opt for a cocktail station.
There are no noise restrictions, so it is possible to have anything from a DJ to provide a club vibe or simply to have your own Spotify playlist in the background.
While there is no cover actually on the Skylark Roof Garden the venue can offer a wet weather option which is the Hucksters on street level, a 1985 Lower Manhattan themed restaurant.
Hucksters can accommodate x350 guests in total so the wet weather option wouldn’t be private but would be a semi private area within the restaurant.
During summer months Hucksters extends outside and can accommodate x 150 on the street level by adding chairs, tables and parasols, with patio heaters and wind screens; and, if you lose any of your guests, then they may have found the karaoke rooms to the rear of the restaurant!!
Hucksters also has four private rooms:
o Chinatown (50 ppl)
o RUBELL’s (45 ppl) – Karaoke
o Secret Room (25 ppl) – Karaoke
o Subway East (20 ppl)
o HIGHLINE (20 ppl)
