Location, location, location ….
Is it classed as London, I don’t know, I would say not but literally sat right on top of Teddington Lock, 6 – 8 miles outside of London is a hotel with some seriously impressive credentials.
So let’s start with location and then get into the juicy events stuff ..
Location
- Heathrow Airport – 6 miles
- Central London – 8 miles
- M3/M4 – 5.5 & 6 miles respectively
The hotel also has complimentary on-site car parking for circa 200 cars.
Use the “Get In Touch” button, contact form (scroll down) or email me your venue requirements/brief to helen@mdem.co.uk and I’ll email venue options to your inbox.
Team Building on-site in buckets (not literally)
The hotel, set in 25 acres of grounds and right on the Thames riverbank, has everything from two elite sports pitches (suitable for rugby or football), 24 tennis courts with a variety of surfaces, pickleball courts, dragon boats and paddle boards, it has its own Spa in the main hotel and a reformer Pilates studio in the grounds.

Dotted around the hotel there are framed, signed rugby and football shirts plus framed and named tennis racquets to keep the sporting theme going (hmmm idea for a treasure hunt is forming!).
Meeting rooms
There are a total of 28 meeting rooms, some in the main hotel others in more of an events annex, all perfectly reachable without the need to go outside.
Of these meeting rooms there is:
- one auditorium style room with tiered seating (Wilkinson Room x 75 maximum)
- only two without natural daylight
- two with their own terraces (Wimbledon and Thames View Suite) including one with floor to ceiling windows facing away from the main hotel onto the grounds (not a natural walking route for guests moving around the hotel or its grounds) and this room can also be completely blacked out too if needed
- Maximum capacity in the largest room is x 260 reception or 185 cabaret style

The Thames View Suite (image above) is the largest meeting room in the hotel, it is stunning and can also be twinned with the newly refurbished bar which can be closed off from the adjacent restaurant and become a private refreshment or lunch area for groups.
There is no limit to be honest as there is plenty of flat space in the grounds for a large event marquee too.
Accommodation
All the 155 bedrooms (x 125 in the main hotel, spread over three floors, the balance in the Ascot annex) have been fully refurbished and are Lensbury green or blue.

The bedrooms are divided into:
- Standard king
- Deluxe king
- Suite
There are some twins available each with two standard double beds.
Public areas (can be private)
The bedrooms form part of a massive £10m refurbishment which also has included the reception area, main bar and restaurant.
Main sports bar and restaurant images are below

Summary
This hotel needs to be on everyone’s radar!
The location, scope of meeting rooms, flow of the space, the list of on-site activity options and the £10million investment means that this hotel ticks an awful lot of boxes.
